Hiked a 4 mile trail through the woods. Lots of up and down. Views of the river probably better in early spring or fall when leaves gone but trail was nice. Signage could be better, wasn't sure how to get back to boathouse area.
I have been here on multiple occasions for hiking, sight seeing, and events. There are a variety of trails to choose from including easy walking trails to more difficult hiking trails. There is a beautiful overlook at the top of the mountain, very nice for photos. There are multiple easy to access bathrooms. Also in the summer there is a large pool with reasonable entry fees. You can even rent cabins for a close by getaway.
Didn't check out the pool or campgrounds. Pretty, woods and good size park.
Great place for hiking and camping or just hanging out for the day. The reason for three stars is that they took the fishing pier down and you can't Wade in the water to fish and the only swimming is at the pool unless you have a boat. Nice camp sites, hot showers.
Great place for hiking, camping & boating! The Historic Kron House is a must visit! My wife and I have camped here for almost 30 years...we absolutely love it!
Beautiful place for a hike. We had the threat of rain so we drove to the top to enjoy the view. The park rangers and employees were very nice and helpful. We are going back soon to hike the trail to the top! A nice reward for the work to get there!
The lake/river looks like a great place for boating. Canoe and kayak rentals available at reasonable prices. I'd like to return in the fall. The park is large with really nice woods and good trails. Some snacks available at boathouse.
